You Will Receive The Grace You Need

Because God has planned your path, you will receive all the grace you need to follow that plan. We all need God’s supernatural grace and favour. We won’t make it on our own. The ‘arm of flesh will always fail us’. God’s word to us is the same as His word to the apostle Paul: ‘But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”’ (2 Corinthians 12:9, ESV). Our first response as humans tends to be to trust ourselves. This must be overcome if we are to make any spiritual progress. It is not that trust in one’s own nature or skills is wholly inappropriate. On the contrary. Self-efficacy has great value. But whatever competency we may possess, our own ability must always be subjugated to the grace and guidance of God. Looking unto Jesus, we will receive all the supernatural enabling that we need and achieve infinitely more (in the view of Heaven) than we could ever achieve by human wisdom and strength alone! In God we trust.
