It's one thing to walk with Jesus personally, but it's something else to walk with Him with other believers. In one sense, it's the same, because in each case you are personally looking and listening to Him, but in another sense it's very different, because when we are in spiritual fellowship with others we are reliant on them doing the same. It would be nice to think that this was a given, and that we could always rely on others daily walking and talking with Jesus as we do. But sadly, this is not always the case. In fact, I have been shocked to discover that many who call themselves Christians never actually listen to Christ! How crazy is that, especially as Jesus died to give us a personal relationship with Him! What's the answer? Firstly, whoever we are, it's our duty to encourage other believers to daily walk and talk with Jesus. Secondly, whenever we meet together with others, let us begin our meetings, not with human conversation and debate, but with a time of being still and listening to Him. What is received by the group at such times will be exactly what the group needs to hear, and there will be no division in it, for all are now listening to the same Source. As a wise missionary once said, "Talk about what you believe and you will have division; talk about Who you believe and you will have unity." Let us be those who seek God together, for it is where brothers and sisters dwell together in this kind of unity that God commands the blessing. Choose today to be an influencer in your community, guiding them to be still and hear the Lord together. Revival will always follow!
