The unmanaged mind inevitably turns to concerns, worries, and fears when it wakes in the morning. This is not good. It means that the day starts under cloud of negative possibilities. But those who look to God when they awake and listen to Him, train their minds to develop a constructive focus at the start of each day. This makes an incalculable difference to the person’s life. Instead of fearing the worst as they enter the day, those who actively walk Jesus in this way wake up and expect a miracle. America’s greatest healing evangelist, Oral Roberts, had a sign on his desk which read, “Expect A Miracle!” He was a man of faith, a man of the Bible, a man who knew well the promise of Lamentations 3:22-23, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Turn your eyes and your mind towards Jesus, this morning, tomorrow morning, and every morning. Expect a miracle!
