When The Storm Is Long & The Sky Is Dark

Some of the storms we experience in life may be longer in duration, some so long that we may be tempted to feel alone or abandoned by God. These are times of great testing, times in which we will be challenged to think and speak from our faith, rather than from what we can see. At such times we must struggle to hold fast the truth, choosing to believe the invisible rather than the visible. For though the night may be long, we remember that the morning will surely come, and that joy will come with it. Thus, through an act of determined faith, in the face of lies, holding fast God’s promises, our anchor will hold in the storms of life. Though the battle is fierce and may even look hopeless, remember these things. Your trials will surely come, and these are the truths to remember when they do. Over the next few days, we will remind ourselves of these great building blocks of faith.
