In Ezekiel 37 we read of how God shows Ezekiel a Valley of dry bones and tells him that they represent “the whole house of Israel” (v.11). Ezekiel is commanded by God to “Prophecy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ” Ezekiel obeys the Lord, and they all come to life, “an exceedingly great army” (v.10). This is a picture of God’s historic people, the Jews, coming to personal faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour at the close of the Last Days. The promise is that the children of Israel will return and embrace Yeshua, their Messiah. Once they do, the Temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem, and it only a matter of time before the ant-Christ is revealed and the Great Tribulation events unfold.
