Environmental pollution is a big issue, but we don’t hear so much about psychological pollution. Just as the air we breathe may be fresh or stale, pure or polluted, dry or damp, that which inspires the soul varies in its character, quality, and consequences. The capacity for inspiration doesn’t guarantee that what inspires will be good for us. Inspiration may be constructive or destructive, functional or dysfunctional, pro-social or
anti-social. Inspired by noble principles we may achieve a great deal of good, adding meaning and value to our own lives as well as to the lives of others. History contains a great many stories of those who have made such a difference, though many of these are unwritten, unsung, or even unrecognised. In contrast stands the influence of those whose inspirations flow from less noble sources. That’s all of us, at one time or another. Why not have an inspiration review? To what degree are you connecting with the Source of all life? We reach the heights of inspiration when we make a simple decision to daily walk and talk with Jesus.
