Jesus, being God, took on our humanity yet without sin, and being both a perfect man and the eternal Son of the Father, was able to say to Phillip: “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Phillip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works” (John 14:9,10). If you want to picture God, picture someone like us, but someone who is also far greater than us, for His love (unlike our own) is unlimited. (pause). God IS love, and Christ is a fully accurate image of that love, for He is the eternal Word, the second person of the Trinity in human flesh.
