When we know God’s love, we realise that He is not the author of sickness, suffering and death, but that He is a good God, the God of Love. God is a good God, there is no badness in Him, and the devil is a bad devil, there is no goodness in him. If we are not crystal clear in our minds that God is a good God, whilst the Devil is a bad devil, we will make serious errors of attribution, ascribing evil to Him in whom there is no badness, and good to him in whom no goodness dwells. Each of these grave errors creates untold devastation in the lives of those who embrace them. The result of this misperception will be incorrect conclusions, mistaken aims and goals, and wrong behaviour, all of which will have at best unhelpful, and at worst evil consequences. Let us be clear: if we do not know that God is a good God who will cause us no harm, and that the devil is a bad devil who will do us no good, sooner or later we will ascribe evil to God and good to Satan. Let God write the script of your life.
