Whatever the vagaries of local churches (and it is certainly true, and has often been said, that one will never find a perfect church!), we rejoice in the fact that every new believer joins the healthiest society in the universe! How can I make such a bold claim? Because the moment anyone is born again they become part of the invisible and mystical body of Christ, made up of all those true believers from every age, and drawn from every denomination and none. We believe that when anyone is born again, he or she instantly becomes a member of this mystical body, the true church. Whether they then go on to join a specific local congregation is another matter. We do not preach to make local church members – we preach to bring men and women into the kingdom of God!
