Let me ask you a question: “What are you fighting for?” In life, we may fight for many things, hopefully things that are good and worth fighting for. But there is a fight that may easily go unnoticed and takes place in the heart of a person. This is what Scripture calls ‘the fight of faith’. The apostle Paul writes to Timothy: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:12). Many of life’s outward battles are lost because this inner fight was never won. Faith has the potential to change anything. It is like a mighty sword against which no spiritual enemy can stand. But will we use it? If we will, we will find that this is a very good fight. Why? Because (1) because it is right and decreed by God; (2) it results in many great blessings and breakthroughs; and (3) because you win! How do you fight this battle? By daily listening to Jesus. As you do, His faith will grow in your heart, and sooner or later you will see all kinds of mountains moved. Fight the good fight!
