Every situation we ever face in life presents us with a challenge and a choice. The challenge is to respond in faith or fear; the choice if to walk by faith or by sight. Don’t get me wrong. Our first response to a situation may well be one of anxiety, but the question is, will we stay in that place, or worse, feed our anxiety, or will we switch our position to one of faith and trust in God? The apostle Paul says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). If our eyes were opened to see the spiritual realm, we would realise that a lot is happening there. Yes, there are demons operating, that’s for sure, but don’t focus on them, for they are no match for the angels of God, who are working right now on your behalf, as it is written of them in the book of Hebrews: “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14). Angels are with you now, working on the problem!
