When Jesus wastempted in the wilderness He did not hesitate to remind Satan of the truth. There’s no better place to stand than the truth. The truth will always bear
your weight and not only that – it will defeat the lies of the Evil One. This is how it was in the temptation of Christ. He boldly said to Satan, “You shall not tempt the Lord your God,” (Matthew 4:7). This was a quote fromDeuteronomy 6:15. Jesus knew the scriptures and was therefore equipped to use them as a weapon when required. How well do we know our Bible? The better we know the scriptures, the more scared the Devil will be, and the easier it will be to defeat him when he attacks our mind. When we stand on the truth of what God has said, we stand on solid ground, and no wind of resistance will shake us from it. Be brave and be bold. Stand your ground!
