Worship together was a cornerstone of the first church's life. Their shared times were characterised by heartfelt worship, prayer, and the sharing of the Lord's Supper. The
communal aspect of worship helped to strengthen the bonds between believers,
creating a sense of unity and shared purpose. These gatherings were marked by
simplicity and sincerity, focusing on worship, prayer, and the teachings of Jesus. It was in these homes that they would meet for the Agape meal and the breaking of bread. In this central act, the first believers shared bread and wine together, representing the body and blood of Christ. Jesus had Himself established this practice at the Last Supper, and the first believers were faithful to include it in their weekly meetings together. This practice not only expressed their oneness with Christ, but also their spiritual union with
one another. Many today are choosing this spiritual lifestyle, sharing bread and wine together with family and friends in their own home, and by so doing regaining the spiritual vitality of the first Christian community.
