Where Do We Begin?

How did it all begin? It all began with Love. How does life begin for you? What’s your starting point? Some will have woken up today with anger in their heart, others will have woken with worries and fears filling their mind, yet others will have begun their day from palace of sadness, depression, or despair. These are the starting blocks from which many seek to run the race of life, and evidently, this is no way to live.

What’s the alternative? To begin with love. To choose love as our starting point, and not just our starting point but our finishing point too. That’s a choice we can make, whatever our situation, or mental state. Some may need a little help to get to that place, in some cases, professional help, but it’s achievable for all. It starts with a choice - the same choice that God made: to let love be our focus, our motivation, and our drive.

When we switch to beginning with love, a quiet revolution will take place in our life. The positive impact of our life will increase dramatically, the wealth generated by our time on earth (and I’m not talking merely about money but about value in every area of life) will be far greater than we would ever have imagined possible. By pursuing love and listening to love’s voice we will fulfil out God-given destiny. Let us therefore choose to begin as God did. How did He begin? He began with Love, and He continues with love. This is the Love that made us in Love’s own image. None of us will ever rest until we find our home in this love. By love we were made and only in love will be made whole.

If you already know this love, it calls you closer, to abide with Him and to walk and talk with Him daily, seeking His advice and guidance in all things. If you don’t yet know God in this way, I want to invite you now to become Jesus’ friend.
