Will you need blessing and help tomorrow? Yes, of course you will! We all will. Many experience excessive anxiety when they think about tomorrow. Perhaps they fear that things will be difficult or worse than they currently are. God never condemns us for our fear of tomorrow, but He does encourage us to respond to fear with faith. How may we do this? The Psalmist says, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” (Psalm 55:22). When fear and anxiety strike, we have two basic choices. We can dwell on the possible problems ahead, or we can bring them to Jesus. The first choice, which sadly many make, will take us down a path of fear and anxiety, and possibly even further, into anguish, panic, or depression. The second will take us on a road of inner confidence, security, and an undeniable peace that may make no sense to others. The lesson is clear: If you cast your burden on the Lord, He will sustain you tomorrow. Let us bring our concerns to Him, receive His word, and leave those burdens at His feet. God’s tomorrow awaits us!
