The First Step to Health

Given that all sickness and suffering are rooted in sin and death, it is necessary that the first step to ultimate and eternal health is that of coming to faith in Christ. The final and complete healing of all things is centred upon the Cross of Christ, for this is the heart of healing, and ultimately the whole of healing. The Cross is the foundation event of all history. At the Cross Jesus opens for us the way back to the Father and to the life and health that are only found in Him. Beginning now and continuing throughout all eternity, full health of body, soul, and spirit primarily consists in a living, personal and experiential relationship with God. This health is found nowhere else – not in gyms, nor hospitals, nor diets, nor friends, nor wealth, nor success, nor in any other place, for although God may use any one of these things to bless us, they are not the Source of our healing but merely channels through which that healing blessing may flow. And He can heal us without any of them! We therefore come to Him who alone gives us rest for our weary souls.
