Something to Share

High value communication

Your oneness with God means that you will have something from Him to teach and share with others. Jesus said, “My doctrine (teaching) is not Mine, but His that sent Me” (Jn.7:16; 8:26,38). He said, “I have not spoken of Myself, but the Father gave Me commandment what to speak (Jn.10:25,37-38; 14:10-11). You have a message to share. It’s a unique message. It’s your story, the story of all that Jesus has done for you, and all that Jesus has shared with you. You know stuff others need to know, but they’ll only know if you tell them. Not only do you have something that God has given you to say, but you can rest in the fact that as you speak His words and obey His commands, you are pleasing Him. What we do in obedience to God will always please Him. Jesus said, “I seek not My own will, but the will of the Father” (Jn.5:30; 6:38). He said, “I do always those things that please Him” (Jn.8:29). Jesus was always praying to His Father, looking To Him for guidance and direction in all things. This is a model for us. As Jesus said to Mary and Martha on one occasion, “One thing is needful” (Luke 10:42). He was referring to the way that Mary sat at His feet and listened. Many in the Christian church would say that they love Jesus, but they don’t listen to Him. Dare to be different!
