Satan is still living and active, deceiving many in our day, for he is a highly intelligent being, he has what we might call a dark infernal beauty, and he makes deceptive promises to lure men and women to their doom. Let us be clear that God did not create sin and He did not put sin into Lucifer, but as a being with the capacity for free moral choice Lucifer chose to sin, he attempted to overthrow God in Heaven, and he continues to actively oppose both God and humanity. As Jesus said, Satan is a liar and a murderer. There is only one way to smash the stronghold of Satan and sin in a person’s life, and that is through the Cross of Christ. There is no hold of sin or evil that is too great to be destroyed completely through Jesus’ shed blood! Take your stand today in the strength of Christ. God’s promise is that if you will resist him, he will flee from you.
