For the majority of us there is little likelihood that we will forget to eat physical food. We are surrounded by advertising and media messages tempting us to eat all kinds of things. But the same is not true of spiritual hunger, and there is always a danger that we may neglect our spiritual diet. Jesus said a number of things on this subject. On one occasion, when His disciples were concerned that He hadn't had a physical meal, He said, "I have food to eat of which you do not know" (John 4:32). He went on to explain: "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me" (John 4:34). How is your spiritual diet? In His wilderness confrontation with Satan, Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). To the extent that we listen to Jesus and follow His guidance we'll be spiritually strong and healthy. Don't forget to eat!
