To abide in Christ is to choose a lifestyle - the most fruitful lifestyle possible. But we will face challenges along the way. Life on earth has always had its demands and pressures, and these are no less real today. Technological advances have dramatically increased the pace of life and improved certain aspects of the quality of life for some. But life’s challenges remain, and if we are to make spiritual progress and fulfil the earthly mission that God has given us, we will need to be serious about maintaining our daily walk with Jesus. Distraction and diversion are two of Satan’s weapons that he will use to pull us away from Jesus. Let us be ready to resist both as we keep our eyes upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
